Hello! Thank you for visiting our website. I’m Steve, founder of Norfolk Coffee, coffee roasters located in Pensthorpe, north Norfolk. Pensthorpe is a small hamlet just outside the market town of Fakenham.
My personal love affair with coffee memorably began many years ago, during a year living and working in beautiful southern Germany, and has survived many trials and tribulations since.
The aim of our small team is to provide a selection of single origin beans perfect for filter coffee as well as coffee for espresso. 1549 is our popular signature house blend. The name of the blend, 1549, derives from the year of an uprising by the ‘common people’ of Norfolk against the rich landowners led by Robert Kett.
Our emphasis is always on producing high quality coffee, providing a top class service to our customers and doing our best to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum.
It is important to us to know exactly where the beans we roast come from. This means we usually know the farm where the beans were grown and quite often the field or area on that farm. We also know that the farmer is getting paid a decent price for his efforts in producing quality beans and that his workers are being treated fairly too.
We deliver all of our local wholesale coffee in our electric van. Our retail coffee is packed in recyclable bags which are made with certified materials meeting the EU standard EU13432.
We are authorised distributors for Victoria Arduino and Nuova Simonelli, two Italian companies who produce some of the best and most reliable espresso machines and grinders available.
